Got this little tip for removing the membrane on the backside of ribs. Walmart has a fish skinning set of pliers for $5. Works a lot eaiser than pulling the skin with a paper towel. Try it out!

Me too, I'll pull the Membrane for the savings, then buy more meat

I have long finger nails....and that helps too.  BUT...that tip is a great one.  Some of the members here may have one in their tackle box and not realize what else it can be used for!

i start from the middle of the rib and not the end , it works and pulls off easier from the middle.

but not that you mention it i do have a couple in my fish cleaning supplies i might just have to try it .........what a great reason to smoke !!!

I am a tight wad. Would rather use a paper towel !

You are not saving money, according to my calculations:

Paper towel comes to $0.000047 each time, in three thousand years you will be paying more.

Regular pliers also work. Artist's canvas pliers work the best.

Great idea, fish pliers.
