Not only am i new to the forum but im also new to smoking. So would first like to say hi from England

2 days ago ihad my first attempt at smoking, i done spare ribs and a 7.5lb pork shoulder, you guys call it butt

the ribs i done the 3-2-1 method used some bud bbq sauce, they were FANTASTIC

The shoulder / butt took 13 hrs but i left that plan just to get an idea of the smoke flavour, absolutely amazing.

Anyway i borrowed a small smoker to do the ribs and butt and i had to give it back.

Im moving to a bigger house in 2-3 months and im going to build either a big wodden smoker or a brick smoker, at some point nearer the time i will be asking for advice on which is better etc and the best way to build.

But for now im building a small wooden one just to last for the next few months, im starting it today and will take some pics so you guys can give advice as i go ( if you dont mind of course ). It will be electric and the dimensions are going to be

40 inches tall x 24 inches wide x 20 inches deep, like i said small lol, you could probably fit several of them into one of your guys hahaha.

Right im off to start the build and i will keep uploading pics as i go.

all the best everyone

Mat
