hell of a buy, correct? have the limit 3 withan additional $10 purchase which is usually booze

3 package limit. i wish 30stones was $10. Was just saying you had to spend an additional $10 to get the $.97/lb price.

I will be checking mine in about 30 minutes.

And then probably 30 minutes after that if they are really $.97.

Maybe even a 3rd time.

if they are not "enhanced" that is a great price. If they are "enhanced" Id pass.

Typically I can get fresh spares for about $.50 more per pound - not on sale.

Didnt your last thread say you paid like 3x normal for those fresh, unenhanced ribs? Not sure where you are, but here you dont find them anywhere not on sale for $1.49. Only a few times a year can you even get them for that.

$.97 is stock up time.

Just got back, $1.99 here.

They are enhanced, as well as 5 and ups, but still $.97 is a steal. $5 for a rack, and you can still make a fine set of ribs out of them with a little trimming. Maybe not as good as fresh, unenhanced, but good luck at finding them for $5. I'm not the kind of guy that needs ground kobe/wagyu to enjoy a burger.

those were for some locally raised, all natural, pork from a local butcher/farm., other, cheaper, non enhanced pork is widely available(restaurant depot, caputos, brookhaven, peoria meatpacking to name just a few), and thats what I use 90% of the time. The expensive stuff is for special smokes, etc.

non-enhanced spares are about $1.49-$1.79 all the time at those other places I shop at. There are lots of choices in Chicagoland (keep in mind I live 80 miles west of Chicago, and simply put in the effort to seek out quality pork).

either way, as long as it works and you folks are happy with it is all that matters.

god I wish I was back in Houston

Must be nice! I would cook ribs daily at that price haha. Rarely do we get them below $1.79-$1.99 here. And no butcher shops in the area.

I wasnt trying to say anything bad about ya.. But $.97/lb is a steal on those ribs IMO. Definitely not something to pass up when you can still make good ribs for less than the cost of cheap ground beef.
