7 Pound Butt...

  1. Found pork shoulders on sale at Safeway a few days ago and picked one up.  Gave it a good rub last night and on at 4:30AM today.  It's now 1:00PM and riding along at 180 Degrees.

Hope it tastes as good as it looks.  Will be serving it up on CWBs along with coleslaw with apple and carrot added and  some Wicked Baked Beans.

Pardon the looks of the smoker...it gets a total clean up every spring.  :)

  2. Looks delicious

What temp did you cook at and about how long did it take? Just bought a pellet grill and would like to try this.

    It looks fantastic.
  4. Cooked at 225 Degrees... Started at 4:30 AM this morning it's now 2:30 PM and IT is at 190.  Going to go to 195 - 200, foil, wrap in towels and into a warm cooler for a couple hours.

Looks and sounds great, Don!  Be sure to let us know how it turns out!

  7. Thanks and hope so...always goes good with football.  How bout those Seahawks?  3rd Qtr.  31 to 0!!!

  8. Well I for the first time forgot to put the memory card back into the camera.  Took a picture of a plate full of today's feast and nothing recorded.  BUT IT WAS REALLY GOOOOOOD.

    Next time I'll remember???  :-(

Just have to say a big THANK YOU for all the input that's posted on this site.  The pulled pork, rub, and wicked beans turned out great.  And my wife's coleslaw (her own creation) made for a great meal...  I don't always follow the recipes to the "T" but they are a great guide.

There may be a menu item in the camera that you can set so it won't shoot pictures without a memory card. I set mine up that way so I won't forget!

    Phoned in.
  10. Thanks, I'll check it out.
