Gonna sear this rack and see what Ronp is talking about. The pic is blurry sorry didn't realize it until it was in the smoker.

More later.

Everything looks great so far and it looks like you were following ron's recipe on some of those. Ron's way does taste really good to and the others such be just as good as well.Keep up the good work and keep the Q going.

Took a couple pics after I split two of racks, will let everyone know how the taste is after dinner.

You cant tell it by looking at the pictures but they really did appear moist and juicy.

One rack of Apple Rub (our usual) and half a rack of the other two stayed with us. Sent similar to a friends in town. Thanks for looking!

Family all agreed they liked our usual (apple rub) the best with the Magic dust second and the Yoshida's a distant third. Seemed like the Yoshidas was rather bland which stands to reason as they didn't have much done to them.

I think it has become a self fullfilling thing...everyone knows what dad's ribs should taste like and that is what they darn well expect.

Really tasty looking! I am wanting to try the magic dust. Here in Ponca City OK we have a local institution, Head Country BBQ. The resturant, and the factory that makes the rub and the sauce. It is very good, has won awards, but I would like to try something else. Where can I get the magic dust? And what exactly is the apple rub?

Magic Dust was created by Mike Mills of 17th street in Murphysboro, IL. If you can't get it let me know and I will pick you up a bottle and send it to you. Think I paid about five bucks for a 3oz. bottle.
