4#chuck roast today, Packer and ribs tomorrow

The wife and I, and another couple, are going out to Stoney River for her birthday dinner then to Stevie Ray's Blues Bar for some entertainment tonight. So the kids were bummed about not getting to go. I picked up a chuck roast for them and they're fine now. :) Rubbed with the spicy bourbon rub and mopping with red wine. I also picked up a packer at Wally world and the neighbor bought some BBs so I'll be doing those tonight and tomorrow. I'll put the Brisket on tonight when I get home. Time to foil the roast, It's at 160. Oh yeah Cherry and some hickory for smoke. I scored on 6 bags of RO also. It's almost gone :(

Here's the chuck at 120. I accidently deleted the pic of the meat b4 cooking. You've seen a chuck roast b4 tho. ;) It is a nice one. Resting in the cooler now.

Well we went to stoney river and I had the ribeye. It was good but not what I expected for such an upscale place.
Anyway the kids had a good meal.....

I tried slicing it but it mainly just fell apart. I pulled the rest....



Right now I have a brisket on, baby backs, and another chuck roast.

BTW we had a great time at the blues bar. Local band named the King Bees and a trio from Cincinatti called the Eric Jerrardi band. Jerrardi as heading south on a tour and ending up in Florida. If you get the chance check these guys out. And if you're ever in Louisville check out Stevie Ray's....
