2nd Pork Butt Attempt

Discussion in 'Grilling Pork' started by adam clarke, Aug 10, 2013.

  1. My first attempt didn't turn out well. I didn't allow the meat to get up to temp (205) long enough and it was tough. This cook I brined the butt over night then used a basic salt, pepper, brown sugar, and lawry's season salt rub. I am spritzing with a pineapple and apple juice combo. My cook temp is 240.

    Hi Adam,

Please use the SMF photo link to attach photos to your posts.  I and others will not view the photos otherwise and I would really like to see these photos.

The photo linking tool is in the tool bar at the top of the message screen.  If you hover over it the tool says "insert image".

  3. Hope it turns out better this time.

No real need to brine a butt. As long as you get that temp to atleast 205º region, it should just fall apart for you.

  5. Lookin good where is the money shot?
