Hi All I'm thinking about getting an Auber Control for my 22" WSM. I also have a RF stick burner 24 x 36.
Got a couple of questions.
1. How is the Auber working out in your 22" WSM?
2. What fan do you think would work for both smokers?
THanks Dan

Can't help with the Auber.  My BBQ Guru works great with a 10 CFM fan.  10 CFM can over stoke the fire on the WSM for a low n slow smoke, but the fan's output vent slide reduces the air flow to keep it right where you need it.

Thanks for the reply. Question all the bottom vents have to be closed  right?

Dan
Not necessarily.  Obviously the one where you attach the fan is closed off.  For the other two, if I'm smoking at 275F or less, I keep them all closed.  If I'm zooming along at 300F+, which I often do with poultry in the 325-350F range, or if I'm in just in a hurry with a butt or some other cut of meat, I'll open them all the way to maximize air flow and coal stoking.

Dan, I use the Auber with the small fan that they recommended on both 18" 14"WSM for about a year and am very pleased with it. No issues to report. Holds temp well and lets me sleep peacefully on overnight cooks.
