We are going to spin up a couple fair sized birds,bout 4 1/4 lbs each. using Weber BQ rub, with spgo also, and added smoke with AMNPS ... trying it out for the first time , just getting it all fired up .. going to grill at around 325 till I reach 165 internal ..

sorta liking rotisserie chicken any more ... found a good way to crisp skin ... when it's almost done .. I stop the rotisserie for like 2 minutes, turn on some, stop it, till I get all the way around ... like grillin it .... lol ...

looking good .. added some Kingsford and shut it down ... cooking at 275... changed my mind on it all ... figured give it some more smoke ...
 
The AMNPS doesnt want to stay lit ... ???? re lite once, seemed fine for 20 minutes, re lite again after that ... do you pack pellets in tight ???
 
Thinking your charcoal is using up all available oxygen since you closed the intake vent down... Pellets have to have air to keep smoldering... try and put the lit end of the tray right in front of the intake vent and open the vent a 1/4 or so and try again...

2 good looking birds ... skin is nice .. did the rotating shut it off and rotate again ... lol ... just took em off here we go ..

cut em up in a little while ... just having rice and green beans with it ...
 
gonna put i the mes 30 tommorrow for beans, ribs, and cubanelle stuffed peppers .. point to you

thanks disco ... will plate em in a while ...look for some ribs, beans and stuffed cubanelle peppers tommorrow

Little late to the party, but agreed, those birds came out nice!!! You must have read my mind, I was going to use my gasser this weekend, the rotisserie on it is getting lonely. Also, what happened with your AMNPS, I just ordered a smoke tube for said gasser and hoping for a little smoke on the upcoming birds?

Thanks Al, was a good meal rotisserie chicken is about the only chicken I eat the legs on for some reason, bite right through the skin ..
