It's jerky season, and everybody has been so much help on this forum, I'd give my two recipes for jerky marinade. Both are for 5lbs of meat. I use top round london broil
Black pepper/ Garlic
2 bottles Worcestershire
4 Tbl ground black pepper
Whole head garlic, peeled and finely chopped
I marinade for 24 hrs and leave garlic pcs that stick on jerky

Spicy
2 bottles Worcestershire
4 TbI Cayenne pepper
2 Tbl dark brown sugar
1 Tbl chili powder
1 Tbl onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbl liquid smoke (optional)
I use the Liquid Smoke because I make jerky in my oven
also marinade for 24 hrs
Hope this helps anybody looking for new recipes... take care and smoke on

Does this have taste anything like hard times beef jerky?

I've never heard of Hard Times. I see it's from OK. I live on the East Coast.
