2 new Masterbuilt propane smokers?

Hey folks

I have been shopping around for a larger vertical propane smoker and wandered over to the Materbuilt website. They had a link to their 2013 catalog and while browsing through it I see 2 new smokers listed. The first one looks like their old 30" 2 door propane but it is now thermostatically controled. The other one is a 40" and looks similar to the smoke hollow deluxe propane and is also controled by thermostat. The gal at customer service says they are both for sale already at Bass Pro and Cabelas but neither have them on the web. I don't have any stores close by me so I can't check to see if they are selling them in the stores.  The item #s are

Does anyone know anything about these? Sure would be nice to have thermostat control on a propane smoker. Here is a link to the catalog.

I'm putting together the parts to do this on my XL. Honestly, I don't know why it hasn't been done before now. The smokers are basically outdoor ovens, why not be able to set a temp? I know the die hards say you need to tend to your smoker, but you shouldn't have to.

Sam's has a 40" propane but it's still the older model: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod4220092  and not available for delivery. 

I don't have Bass Pro or Cabela's close to check if they are in store, but I will be at Cabela's in Kearney, NE next month and if I haven't found the new 40" around here, I'll probably get it there. I just checked Cabela's website and although they state NEW Masterbuilt 40", it is not the one in the MB catalog.

 Yes, I checked the numbers in Cabelas catalog and they are diffferant. I would get one of the 40" in a heartbeat when they become available. I might call the store in Olympia WA and see if they have one. I have friends that don't live too far away that could pick one up for me.

I'm interested in the Stand for 40" Smokers. That Thermostat controlled Propane Smoker looks interesting as well ..JJ

 Out of stock,,, bummer,, good thing that I got mine when I did! Thats the problem with Sam's Club, if you wait, you may never see the item again.

I emailed Masterbuilt  on July 26 about the availability of the 40-inch Propane Smoker with Thermostat Temperature Control 20050111 UPC 094428264649 and this was the reply I received:

Our 2013 Catalog has gone to our major retailers such as Bass Pro, Cabela's, Sam's Club, etc. Based on consumer demand, it will depend if the retailer will pick up a product. Typically a product will enter a market late Winter or early to mid Spring. The best way to stay up-to-date is to periodically check our website in the product sections. I didn't post part numbers etc beacause its much easier to just find a used stove and tear it apart. The replacement parts to do this build would have been over $200! I managed to only spend a quarter of that...

By my project standards, this was on the EASY scale, lol. Barely even got the welder hot!
