I am looking for some ideas. Doing to 7lbs butts for a party but some people love bark and some dont like wife. Should i just trim the bark off one or cook it a different way

I would foil 1 butt and not the other.

The foiled one will have a soft bark.

I would cook them both looking for bark.... trim the bark off of one before pulling, then save the bark for myself....

Now that's a good idea.

As a reward for the cook.

Well I'm not sure what to tell you on that one. As to the people who like bark, maybe while you're pulling just put some of the inside meat (no bark) aside for those who prefer no bark. As to the ones who don't like your wife, maybe you shouldn't invite them next time.

To get back at the wife i am going to somke her chuck roast tom. I think cooking same and shaving the bark off one would be best. Then i can make a super bark sandwich

There you go, cuts the little lady out of some good stuff , but more for you

Enjoy and as always . . .

You could be nice to the guests who like bark and put the bark off of both butts in the same pan. But come to think of it I think the one who does the cooking needs a treat so a bark sammie for the chef would be extra nice !LOL

I'm sort of in agreement with everyone. Foil one, don't foil the other and then put out four serving plates, foiled no bark, foiled bark, unfoiled bark and unfoiled no bark.

Some of the ones who "think' they don't like bark might try some of the foiled and learn what they have been missing.
