Heello, I am a newbie here and I have a quick question. I have a ECB Smoke N' Grill and I wanted to know if anyone has ever smoked two butts in it, but only one aluminum pan. As in one butt on the bottom grate IN a pan and one on the top directly</b> on the grate. Hence the drippings all go into one pan. Now, can I have 'twice' the amount of drippings go to one butt, or should I just divide it up evenly? Either way works for me, I just want to know if anyone has done this and if it tastes better/worse/same.

Thanks!

  4. Now, can I have 'twice' the amount of drippings go to one butt, or should I just divide it up evenly? Which ever works best for you however I would divide it amongst butts
  5. Either way works for me, I just want to know if anyone has done this and if it tastes better/worse/same. Same basic taste unless you mix and match.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks

Hey thanks for the info!

This was for mothers day so I just went ahead and cooked the 2 butts and had all the drippings go to just one. They tasted about the same in the end. Although I did save one butt whole and reheated it at 325f for 1 and a 1/2hrs in oven and then pulled it. It actually worked out great that way. I waited until IT reached 145f and it pulled right off the bone no prob. That was the one with all the extra drippings, but I don't think it made much of a difference.

I will try and upload pics soon!
