I have been asked to make some pulled pork for the inlaws family reunion... Smoking using cherry wood on and around 225 in the GOSM.

More to follow as this wonderful day continues...

nice looking Boston Butts so far, lookin forward to more pics.

Im doing one on Sunday, they are on sale at a local market for $.99/lb..

.99 cents are a good deal!

Are the ones that are on sale have them with the bone in or out?

I basted them with mustard and Jeff's Rub... I have found that the rub works really well on the butts and not just ribs...
Also spritzing them every so often with apple cider vinegar and water mix.

Ive been sick all week and really wanted to get do a pastrami too but, hey beggers can't be choosers!

Looks sweet so far.

I haven't smoked too much in the last few weeks. The honey do list took charge...haha.

I will be doing tomorrow a butt, beans, abt's, and salt. I'll keep you posted

Everything looks good so far. I like the prep and the looks of the meat smokin. keep up the good work Big.

BT,
Are you finding that they are cooking any slow with two in the smoker rather than one? I am smoking 3 butts tomorrow and am wondering if I need to alot astra time.
Thanks,
shriv

I am not finding that they are going slow really... I have noticed the temp fluctuate a 10 degrees up and down every so often though... Im trying to figure it out myself... The temp is at 150 now... My Butts always take 12 - 14 hours to have them perfection...

Yep.. the old stall or plateau. Got to be patient and just let it do it's thing. Rewards are big in the end.

passed the stall yet big train?

I picked up a 8# butt for Sunday, its the biggest I have done I figure Ill start mine around 6:00 a.m. to make sure I get it done for supper.
