  1. Was given a pork tenderloin so i figured i would Grill it. I seasoned it with garlic and pepper No salt as it had salt in it.

    Wrapped it in bacon. [IMG]

Put on grill using kings-ford competition Briquettes and some apple wood. Let it go for about 11/2 hr and then checked with thermometer and oops it was at 160*

Pulled it out of the grill and let sit while got the spuds corn and peas together and set up the table.

Thanx to Jeff for the tutorial on bacon wraps and the other advise on keeping it simple. I did add cheese and garlic and butter and bacon to the mashed spuds and all was ready when the boss got home. Tnx to you guys i am a hero. At least for tonight.

She said all was perfect. There was plenty of juice in the tenderloin however i thought it was dry.  I think that extra 15 * did that and i will have to watch that in the future.

It's pretty...hope it wasn't too dry.  You know you are PORK crazy, or under 80, if you're upset that there is no pink in your Tender's!...JJ

Well it was your first time doing a weave and it looks good. Maybe a tad overcooked but live and learn right? I take mine to 145. I like it a hint pink. Any reason why you didn't probe it? Man, I would overcook mine if I didn't have a thermo in there. Bacon on anything is awesome! [IMG]
  10. With it being in the cheapo grill i was concerned with the heat on the probe cable.

    Next time for sure.

  11. Thank you all for stopping by.

I even noticed a couple of mistakes on the weave but i am still pleased all things considered.

    Looks good, Karl.

Yeah, it could have been pulled a little sooner but I have had those get away from me too.  Sometimes it amazes me how fast those little tenders can cook!

    Good luck and good smoking.
