Hello! So here's my first pulled pork attempt. Bought 2 7 lb's from Costco and put my rub of choice and wrapped yesterday. Here it is at 8am this morning.

I converted my ECB into propane for the long haul. It's windy out today too. Temps maintaining at 225-250F

I'm using Hickory in a beer can, offset the turkey fryer's flames. This is the other picnic too.

More to come! I have my beer in hand too. Ahh, nothing like beer at 1130am. lol

I used this rub:

2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup paprika

Oh... Question... I know I am making a lot just for 4 people here for dinner tonight. I plan on bringing the leftovers to work tomorrow and was wondering if I could just put the pulled pork in a slow cooker to keep it warm... Is this fine to do?

Reheating the leftovers in a slow cooker/crock pot will bring you many compliments. I do it and people like it just as much as the first time around.

If you save any of the drippings, you can use that in the slow cooker to add moisture. Otherwise, beef broth with work great also.

Yes! I had to re-mount the legs to where they are supposed to be and the whole unit slides right over. Just remove the ash pan altogether.

No matter when you're drinking that beer, it's 5 PM somewhere.
