1st portable smoker for a beginner??

I'm new to the whole smoking thing and about to start trying cold smoking to start with but will want to move into hot smoking eventually but what is a good starter smoker?

I'm guessing electric is the way to go if you want idiot proof which suits me since you have to mess about checking the temp on wood and gas all the time?

I have found 2 electric ones in UK but not sure which is the better one to get?

Please give ANY advice to a virgin smoker. It needs to be transportable since I can’t leave it in a communal garden when not in use so need to be put out each smoking then put away after.

If you can get the Brinkman, I would go with that one over the stainless one. The stainless looks similar to the portable I got for my motorhome and am not happy with as it won't get above 205 *

Well went ahead and bought the Brinkman but its not geting to me untill May since it will be boated over to the UK from the USA.
