How long was your bird in the smoker?  Have a nice plump hen sitting in the freezer just waiting for the Traeger.  Thanks!
i didnt actually smoke it .  i cooked it in my new weber one touch with indirect heat method.  Needed to give my son a break from smoky food.  he not so into it yet.

the bird took 1h45min with one chimney full of briquettes. glazed with dianes sauce at one hour.

Beer can chicken on the weber is so easy, and gets super results, and happy eaters. Looking good.

Hickory wood gives that sweet bacon flavor, and Mesquite gives a good yard bird flavor imo.

And then there was 2!!

Beer can chicken. one brined 24 hrs, the other just out of package. Used Ted Reader's recipe for: Memphis Rib Rub. used chipotle powder. brined one almost too salty but firmer meat. Both tasted great!

almost too easy on the weber
