@Bearcarver, you are the Prime Rib master. I read your how to and decided that I should try it. Thanks for making it so easy!
The menu:
Prime Rib Roast w/ Au Jus and Horseradish Sauce
White Truffle Red Potatoes with Italian Seasoning
Tossed Salad
My 14 year old son helped me with everything.
I could not find the Lea & Perrins Thick at Kroger. I used this instead. Seemed to work just fine.
Got the meat ready the night before. BTW - Kroger had the roast marked down from $75 to $35 on a manager special. SCORE!
Threw some aromatics on the roast (Rosemary and Thyme). Hickory pellets from A-MAZE-N!
This was about 1/2 the way through the cook. I HAD to look!
Pulled it at 133, foiled, and let it rest in a cooler for 1/2 hour.
Pre-carving!
Carved!
Made the potatoes!
Plated it.
Had a wonderful dinner!!!
Lots of leftovers for the wife and daughter to try tomorrow when they return home from Vegas! Their chorus was competing at the Sweet Adeline Convention. The won 4th place in the world!
Thanks again, @Bearcarver
