Well.....Here I am 6 months later and I chose to keep this thread alive!  I still haven't got to install my bigger stack on the pit but I built a wood hauling basket for it and now I have it mounted.  I also "updated" my fence on the east side of the house to a removable panel so I can stow the cooker in my back yard instead of the garage.  Here is my most recent pic.  Since December 13, I've smoked 45 butts and about 20 briskets on this!

Pipe welded in and sprayed with high temp.  Gonna work the baffle after our mini vacation.  Tore down the tank racks and scraped/clean the inside while I had the shop vac out.  Probably cleaned out over 2lbs of creosote internally...twelve 10lb butts and a whole hog since its last bath!  I believe with a little more practice, I can resolve the "build up" issue I have with this new exhaust.

The RF baffle seems to be fitting for the size/dimension as it ends near the left of the tank about the same distance as the baffle to the bottom of the tank, allowing a smooth draft channel.  Like I said, I hope this new exhaust helps.   The original pipe didn't even travel into the tank!

that's my problem too... which do I haul.. camper or smoker ... so I built a Mini for the camper .... Shoot.. I'm in Bradenton Area (south of Tampa) ... and we go to N. FL. Gathering (Tallahassee)... so we don't mind traveling a little bit to camp.. and cook.. and have a few cold ones...

We just got into the camping scene lately.  It has been a blast!  There are at least 20 different places to go camping around St Augustine.

Ran a whole bag of Kingsford thru it after the cleaning...hovered a steady 230-240 with no baffle and the hot box intake only half open.  Heck that one big bag burned for 4  hours before dying down!  Cant wait to -Q-
