Pros - Compact, accurate, inexpensive.
Cons - Slow
The thin probe and easy to hold handle are nice but it takes a lot longer than 6 seconds to register meat temperatures. It is not something you can use with meat still on the grill or in the smoker. You have to remove what you are cooking and measure the temperature on a plate.
