Pros - Integrated meat thermometer great smoke retention
Have owned this for 2 years and have loved it. However getting ready to do a brisket and 3 racks of ribs this AM and when I turn it on its tripping the GFI. Its drizzling out but am under cover even tried getting a different dry extension cord. Moved unit close enough to outlet to eliminate extension cord - same result. Any ideas or other who have had same problem?

    "Very Easy to use"
Pros - Easy to use, set the temperature and go
Cons - Seems like it could use a larger chip tray....
While mine is built by Masterbuilt for Bass Pro Shops it looks identical to this one.

Purchased around Memorial Day weekend (May 18, 2014) with stand for around $210 or so.

The stand is a nice addition as it raises the smoker up a bit from the ground.  I also went to my local hardware

store and added 4 rubber castors/wheels so I can roll it around.  It is little top heavy and will tip if you roll over a

concrete divider if you are not careful, but it beats having to pickup the unit and move it from place to place.  Rolling

    it around works perfectly.

So far I have smoked ribs, pork loin, salmon,  and beer can chicken all came out great.

The chip hopper seems a bit small but it does produce the smoke.   Will give it a test on smoked pork shoulder and pastrami this weekend

Mine seals tight and does not leak smoke around the seal even when using an external temp probe.

    Cleanup is easy

I would recommend to anyone wanting a "no hassle" smoker.

"Mine is labeled as a Masterbuilt"
Pros - masterbuilt quality insulated cabinet
Cons - Im confused is it not a Masterbuilt? or is this the wrong picture?
Mine came from lowes and the box gives it as a Masterbuilt 20071514, 1100 watt. If the door leaks a little bit you can adjust the latch to hold it closer in. they will also replace the seal.

Pros - electric and digital is worry free. I also liked these ease of cleening this as well. Temp held very true and the side load for chips was anpther grea
    Cons - None
I made country spare ribs the first day. The intense smoke flavor was just the way I like it. The other feature that was so handy was these ease of rolling it to my patio and the compact size for my space yet loads of room in the interior. On the 2nd day I tried my hand at beef jerky. AMAZING....I see a lot of smoking in my future and couldn't be happier with my choice. I read a lot of reviews for other smokers and soooo glad I landed on this. Bought from Lowes who also were exceptional

Pros - Easy to Assemble, Good Value, Looks Nice, Works as Advertised
Cons - Hard to Find Online Information (manual mainly), Limited reviews on-line
I still consider myself a newbie at smoking.  Although I have only been smoking for one season, I have learned that temperature regulation is one of the biggest keys to success.  I love my charrgriller with the sfb, but if the wind is blowing I almost always end up finishing a long smoke in the oven.  For this reason alone I decided to get an electric smoker.  I compared models for several days and was pretty well sold on the MES 30.  Unfortunately when I went to pick mine up from the store they were all sold out.  I immediately started running all over town trying to find another.  Eventually I ended up at Lowe's and found the Master Forge 31.9-in 800-Watt Electric Vertical Smoker.  The price was almost identicle ($200) and I like the fact that you can add wood chips without opening the door.  I decided to take a gamble and go with the Master Forge.

Setup was very easy.  It took a phillips screwdriver and about 30 minutes to assemble.  Most of this time is unpacking and cutting of zip ties.

So far I have only cooked one brisket with it.  I used the internal probe for temperature measurement, but will be comparing to my remote thermometers.  Taste was good.  Cooking was very easy, It almost felt like cheating, you really just turn it on and wait.  I added woodchips a couple of times and waited for the temp to come up.  It did a great job with temp regulation.  From the front panel it looked like only 5-6 degrees of fluctuation on a cold February day.

I just bought a half of beef and a half of pork so I am sure the little guy will get plenty of practice.  I will let you all know if I have any problems.  So far I feel very happy with the product.

Pros - Everything about this is great
Cons - Low to the ground
Always wanted to smoke my own bbq, finally decided that I could try it with a low end smoker and purchased the Master Forge Electric Cabinet Smoker from Lowes.  Initial model did not have temperature probe but worked fantastic.  Due to an unfortunate incident, no fault of the unit, it had to be replaced.  I was so pleased with the first that I bought another and this has the temp probe.

Smoking meat is easy, the temperature is always well maintained by the unit and the smoke is easily and evenly distributed throughout the cabinet.  I really like the sealing door and latch as it is easy to open and shut one handed and to lock while holding other implements. The digital controls have been spot on and help me to set and forget.  All I need to do is load chips.  For this I have found Traeger pellets to be ideal and I tend to use apple and hickory, sometimes mixing. The smoke is heavy and aromatic at first and works well to "flavor" all the meats.

As for cooking, I've had as many as 4 - 9# butts cooking at once and will say that it took plenty of time, but the smoker just kept right on working.  This particular smoke was to feed 70 people so I ran the smoker continuously for 30 hours as I loaded, smoked emptied and reloaded butts.  Everyone raved about the meat.  I''ve had 2 - 10# turkeys, and on other occassions full brisket and various chicken parts.  Every meal has been cooked to perfection!

    Enjoy!
