I found the Classic Accessory line online as well, chose the 'Hickory' line Grill Cover for my Weber Genesis E-310, will let you guys know how it works out...As I mentioned, I will soon be replacing my Masterbuilt plastic cover for my 30" smoker with a cover from the same Classic Accessory...
After searching around a bit I'm going with this one, looks like it may last longer than most, they also offer smoker covers, as soon as my Masterbuilt cover starts to crack I'll be getting one of these:
Just ripped a hole in my grill cover clearing the ice block off my gas grill (we got 8" of snow in North Metro Atlanta!), I have a Weber Genesis 310, any recommendations for a gas grill cover that will last more than a couple of years? Willing to spend a little more for something that will...
For use in a Masterbuilt 30, preferably around/under $100, one that I can monitor with Android device would be nice!
What's the new technology that everybody is using?
I use my Masterbuilt 30 2-3x per month, is there any benefit unplugging it from the outlet after each use? I noticed that it 'beeps' when I plug it in, leading me to believe something's staying energized when it's plugged in...Thoughts?
Since I invested in a 20# bag-o-pellets, I bought a dedicated Home Depot orange bucket to store them, it's vacuum tight and has worked well so far. I agree, I stored my first 5# in a heavy-duty ziploc, I feel sure the Georgia humidity got to them, had them stored in The Man Room under the pool...
In the FWIW department: I too had a problem keeping my AMNPS lit in my MES 30" Gen 2, even with all of the recommendations (replaced damper with aluminum 90 degree elbow, chip loader pulled out 2" in dump position, moving the AMNPS to the top rack, etc)...I recently purchased a new 20lb bag of...
Thanks Richie, I'm sure somewhere in your instructions the dimensions of the MES 30" grates are listed, I've read them couple of times and can't get those dimensions, but I'm not a carpenter (I know I'm just missing something)...
Couldn't find this easily, being the Lazy Lizard I am thought I'd post this to The Forum, looking for the grate (smoker rack) dimensions of a second generation MES 30" smoker, wanted to get some non-stick mat material...
Lisa,
You simply unscrew and remove the damper (vent) and push in the 90 degree elbow...One end of the elbow should be bent inwards a little, it fits snug without using anything to keep it attached...at least my MES 2nd Gen 30"...I remove it before I put the cover on, that's pretty important to...
I had the same problem Travis...so...a few suggestions...
Try lighting the AMNPS *out* of the MES just to make sure it's not the chips. Also, I totally removed the damper and put a 3" 90 degree aluminum exhaust elbow in it's place (pointed upwards), I then moved the AMNPS to the *top* rack...
My sad Brinkman gas grill is falling apart, don't want to spend much over $400 on a new gas grill since I smoke just about everything in my MES 30, any strong opinions on the Charbroil Tru-Infrared gas grill? I like the concept of the flame being underneath the metal 'V' shield between the...
Per Todd, I moved the Amazen gadget to the top rack, pellets stayed lit and the 'inside turbulence' Todd mentioned was definitely there...As an added smoke source I did a couple of dumps of pellets into the onboard chip loader, they smoke up *SO* much better than wood chips!
