    Chicken legs in electic smoker how long should I smoke it for?

    put in about 8 lbs of chicken legs  and 3 lbs of skinless breasts.(all I had available) into the smoker  I pretty sure the legs will be done before the breast .  temp trying to keep to 260.  about how long can I expect to have to smoke these till they need tocome out?

    chicken in smoker done faster than I expected .. now I have to keep it warm for 3 hrs.   grilling the plain bird now. live and learn. this thing can cook lol

    nods figure If the skin was not crisp enough  it get there when I put them over to the grill for  carmlizing the barbeque sauce that will go on them. will look into the smoke lessons.   Want my new toy to be more than a large paperweight  or toe stop.

    thank you .  first time I tryed cooking this much at once outside of my home cook stove.   set it as the booklet said 225 to 250   will go up the temp ever one wants to eat today  lol

    I have a Masterbuilt 30" Electric smoker that I bought this week.  first full load  of 3 spat cocked chickens  each weighing about 5 lbs running at 230 degrees  about how long should I smoke/ cook this much bird?  Hopes for an answer before I find I need to up temp to rush it . booklet says  45...

    Anyone have big plans for 4th of July?

    Daughter bought me a Masterbuilt Signiture electric smoker the 30 ".  Family is getting together on the 4th .. I am smoking and  grilling chicken 4 of them.  Started out was just to be 6 of us  now over 16 are coming  BBq chicken  deviled eggs and biscuits just my share of the meal. Half scared...

    I tried it on a roasted chicken [to tired to start the grill up] but IT came out very nice.. now IF I could just get the salt redcuced  Defenaly an item I will be buying more of .

    I had used brickets and  hickory chunks   the chicken tasted good..  a bit dryer than I wanted but I am sure it was more because I did not brine it first. cant wait to try again BettyJoh

    I am proud of myself  after years of grilling never smoking   I smoked my first chicken in my new Char -Grill combo grill was a bit behind in time so I did not brine the bird. I am on a low salt diet too. so will be looking into other ways to help. the grill did get a bit hot  up to 300...
