    Breaking in The Yoder 640

Wasn't able to locate a Yoder in PA, but Dover Delaware has a nice litte BBQ store called BBQ Grills Inc.  The carry a decent amount of Pellet Poppers and the guys there are great.  They ordered both the 640 and 480 for me to look at.  I went with the 640 for the extra room.

    Overnight Hands Off Pork Shoulder

It goes through some pellets, but I don't really have anything to compare it to.  I like having the extra room and knew pellet consumption was going to be higher because of that. I would guess between 17-20lbs.  Maybe next time I will clean it out and see how much it uses.

    Overnight Hands Off Pork Shoulder

This was the first time I didn't foil for the stall, and there was a noticeable improvement in the bark.  The outside stayed nice and firm, which was nice because where parts of the fat cap were I was able to slide huge chunks of bark off and add to my meal.

    Smoked Chicken Drum

One of my favorite go to meals when I'm running short on time.  I usally like to smoke them at 225-250 for an hour or so then crank it up to 300- 350 to crisp up the skin.  The addition of the Amaze-n Pellet smoker lets me get close to that flavor in about half the time.

    Smoked Chicken Drum

Decided to throw some Drums on the Yoder tonight.  Just pulled them from the Fridge and smoked,  Used a little Bad Byrons Butt Rub on them.  Did them at 315 for and hour and 15 minutes.  I also ran the Amazen Pellet Smoker.  Both the Yoder and Amazen filled with Apple Pellets.  Extra smoke...
