I haven't had my 39 Gen 1 very long ,but have used a homemade AMNP didn't have a problem. I now have the Wedgie that I really love. I put them on the rail and can smoke at any temp.
I just got my 30 inch no window top back digital control and AMNPS. I haven burned it in already. I see your tips on using the AMNPS, my question is the best location . On the rail or on a bottom rack, left side or right side . thanks
I just got the 30 inch gen ll and tried a cook today. I put 4 chicken thighs....baked beans and baked mac and cheese in the smoker .I did have a aluminum pan with a rack that the chicken was on. I used a homemade a-maz-n smoker with mesquite pellets....worked great. I have used it before on...
I hope to get my 30 inch gen ll tomorrow and was wondering why the tube smoker works better in the gen ll than gen l ?

I can cook for 8 people on my 18".
It uses less charcoal.
You can shut down all vents and save charcoal for next cook or like you say grill somthing.
I would say use it first with water pan full.Next use it with clay saucer,I promise you will never go back to water and it WILL still be moist...
Thats funny,Friday I was in HD and ran across the same thing.I have done one cook on my Fat Boy and it works great.I had some no. 12 bare copper wire and tied it to my charcoal basket.I also bent the corners down,it makes adding charcoal easier.
