    Well this little 7#er took just shy of 11 hrs at 220 to hit probe render at 209° didn't get the ring I usually do but all in all was a good smoke.

    Great read!! Im just wondering if the injection was cooled before injecting.....I. not too clear on that step. Would you want to inject with a warm fluid??

    First Smoke- I'm hooked

    I've been using 12 pieces of chimney lit coals to start my smokes on my 18.5 and it takes about a half hour to get to 250. And I get good mileage this way. However I am running a Digi q 2 as well. For your first run looks like yoh did a nice job.

    Hello from SE Minnesota!

    Some chicken quarters are a good cheap first smoke. I did a pork butt for my first run and found it very easy. My advice would be to get a good thermometer or two and follow the great advice on this site. Welcome to the forum and have fun smokin.
