    Like I said, they don't look any different than unsmoked pecan halves,  Taste very different.

    So I had some shelled pecan halves laying around.  The smoker wasn't busy and I had some time so... Three hours at about 180 in apple wood smoke.  They don't look any different but the taste is amazing!  I REALLY want to try some with pecan smoke.

    I guess I am doing it wrong.  I put the tenderloins in a glass baking dish, cover with rub of choice, then cover with bacon.  Finally smoke til done.  The glass dish keeps the bacon grease against the tenderloin and prevents it from drying out while smoking.  My kids even like it this way. I...
