Our family enjoys spending the weekends and vacation during warm weather going to the campground in our fifth wheel. I was wondering if anyone takes their smoker with them to the campgrounds. I'm wanting to get some ideas on where to store my smoker in the fiver.
Made up a breakfast fattie last night, and got up this morning to smoke it. Used a combination of maple and apple chips. Came out better than I thought. Used Jimmy Dean Original, scrambled eggs, and shredded coby jack cheese. Wrapped it in bacon. I had trouble rolling it last night, sorry did...
Cold, snowy, and windy here in Iowa, got bored decided to try smoking some BB's with apple chips on the Old Smokey. Prep included rubbing with EVOO, and seasoning with Cookies and Italian Seasoning. Hope to have Qview of the finished product.
Trying the 2-2-1 method at 225 degrees, but...
How good can it be? I have SMOKE, BLUES (Andre KGGO Iowans will know who it is), and cold BEER. Decided to do beer can chickens have 2 birds on the Old Smokey at 225 degrees using hickory chips. First attempt at a Qview will follow later today. It's good to be a HAWKEYE!!!
The Old Smokey...
Just took delievery of our new Old Smokey Electric Smoker. Assembly went well, just a few screws. Only assembly left is putting the thermometer on. Can't wait for the weather to break to give it a whirl (sub-zero temps and snow).
New to smoking, in fact just ordered an Old Smokey Electric, and I'm waiting for it to be delivered first part of next week. I have been looking through some post, and have already started taking notes. Can't wait to get started smoking.
