Ryan,
On that 2nd shelf, it slides right out. You can push it back out of your way or take it out completely. I have smoked a turkey with the top shelf in and had plenty of room.

I bought the 20 x 36 last November and I love it. The T handle, wagon wheels, warming plate are all standard. I move mind around without any problem with the T handle, on concrete of course.
I had him to install a 8" baffle and lower the smokestack to grate level and also modify the fire box...
I purchased a 24 x 36 bellfab in November. I had looked at the 18 x 24 Horizon before deciding on the Bellfab. I think the Horizon was $650, 1/4" steel, the much larger Bellfab start at $450, 5/16" steel. Pretty much a no brainer.

You might want to check with Bellfab over in Tulsa. I picked up a 24x36 of 5/16 steel from him about a month ago and he was working with a freight company dock to dock for less than $200. His standard 24x36 at that time was $450.

Ordered my 24x36 wood smoker from Bell fab Saturday. My first smoker, will be able to pick up next Saturday. What is the best way to season the new smoker and for how long?
Thanks,
