    Grinder Help Please

How big is the feed opening and do you have to 'force' the meat into the auger?  The reason I ask is the KitchenAid has about a 1 1/8 inch feed chute to the auger and you have to really push hard to get the meat to feed and that is what is killing me.  You have to cut the meat in such small...

    Grinder Help Please

Looking for a new grinder and could use a little help if you could.  Currently using using the "KitchenAid" attachment on the mixer and it's just brutal.  We usually do at least one elk and one deer plus pork and beef roast here and there, maybe 20 lbs at a time a few times a year plus the game...

    Opinions Needed On Sausage Stuffer

Found this stuffer while looking at LEM's on Amazon, never heard of or seen one but like the price, capacity, and extra tubes just don't want to end up with junk.  Anyone have any knowledge of this particular product or opinions? Thanks for the help!

Vertical Smoker Gas or Electric... Dilemma?

Done a lot of searching but wanted to draw the attention of the wood burners.  I hate to step away from my wood smokers but life gets busy so I guess the better question would be....  Will I be satisfied with the results of an electric smoker or would gas give me closer results?

Vertical Smoker Gas or Electric... Dilemma?

For years I used the old Weber "R2D2" looking charcoal smoker, then built a side box UDS, next to a 60gal side box (compressor tank).  I recently got rid of the 60 gal and due to needing the storage space.  Long of the short is I'm building a house on my a-joining property and need all the space...

    Horizontal USD Build.

Thank you sir! I'm hoping any praying that I'll be getting a 40"x70" Co2 vessel next weekend and start in that as soon as the weather clears up. There is also a very good possibility that it will be stainless steel (I'm keeping my fingers crossed). I just may be able to fit an entire cow...

    Horizontal USD Build.

As soon as I get my bow back from PSE I know exactly how to get it in there providing I can get another one trapped in the yard! We've also been thinking of a run to TX for some hog slaying as some family of mine out there seem to have a over population problem. I am more than willing to...

    Horizontal USD Build.

First off thanks for all of the great comments guys! Next the build... Well the main drum was a 55gal that held hydraloic oil and the "side box/drum" was a 20gal grease drum. All of the cutting on the drums was done with a 5" high speed air sander/grinder with a .045 cutting wheel and a air...

    Horizontal USD Build.

Sorry for no pics but here is the finish build. The build cost $80 including a acetylene (135CF) refill the rest I had laying around. I've used twice now and boy does it like to eat wood. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics of what comes out of this bad boy! I'll add these pics in...
