It's nice to have bbq show on TV. I keep a notepad and pen handy to jot stuff down while pausing the dvr. Got a lot of new ideas to try out, although they don't give away a whole lot in any episode, over the span of the series you can get a little better idea of what they are doing. Hopefully...

He made his bed now he can sleep in it. I think he's met his match with this woman. She took immediate action to balance the scales of justice while the rest of us stand around stunned, shaking our heads, upon discovering a rather bizarre fact. That Tiger's uncanny almost superhuman...
Wintertime is coming here in Michigan and I've been rolling around ideas for smoking in the winter. Been reading the different threads here on this topic and seems like there are some good options. I'm still undecided whether to do vented electric indoors or insulated propane cabinet outdoors...
It took me a little while to figure out the right amount of charcoal to get the temps right. Chrome shaker basket works a lot better than the wok. I picked up some of this to seal my door when I get some time to install it. Going to glue it on. This is an experiment in progress.

Most important thing mentioned by Geek With Fire is to reboot into safe mode. I've used Spybot and Asquared Free for years with very good results and no cash out of pocket. Get the definitions updated then safe mode to scan. Avast also has free antivirus with boot scanner. If you do edit the...
One of them did keep some rather interesting company. From Shane Bauer's blog. This guy was either not very smart, which I find hard to believe given the number of dangerous areas he's been too, or this story is not quite what it seems.
I'm in the pool business and we use mechanical contractors for heaters because any indoor combustion appliance has specific needs when it comes to venting and air supply. It can be very dangerous when these needs aren't met.
I've had my best luck using a perforated ceramic coated grill topper. Brown it some, add toppings, and then keep away from direct heat with the lid closed.
Rib comp is on Sunday. Judging at 4pm. I've never been to this. I'm hoping the food will be good given the hour and 45 minute drive. Found it while looking for Bone Daddy's in Midland which won the Nugget last year. Sadly, they aren't attending or open on Sunday...
Exactly. I don't have a problem with them setting the parameters for their competition. But if they think that gives them some higher authority to define what "real" barbecue is then they can go fly a kite.
It depends on your welding skill and exactly what you are sticking together. Brazing is more time consuming and not as strong. I like the speed of MIG when there is a lot of welding involved. Stick might be a better choice if you are working with really heavy stock. TIG just makes me angry.
Duplicolor engine ceramic is great engine paint but only good to 500 degrees. Their High Heat is good to 1200. As far as spray cans VHT is even better but a lot fussier and more time consuming. When it comes to pro painting I know Eastwood and POR15 sell their Hi-Temp in pints or gallons. In...
So how does it cook? I'd like to try something like that only removable so I can do some grilling too. Thanks for the pics. Curious too about cooking temps and fuel consumption increase or decrease. I've got some silicone gasket on the way for the lid but how that is going to turn out...
I used the 3" River Country thermos at grate level as recommended in some of the CG mods running around. There is a pdf link on page 5 of this thread to give you an idea of what I did to mine only a little lower. You can find the thermos on Ebay and I got the nicer RC version. Post some pics...
