If you buy it with the bone, it will probably still be alive and walking around. Brisket has no bone. Briskets can be bought whole like a packer brisket with all the fat on it and you trim or trimmed up. You can buy the brisket split up into flats or points if your store carries it that way. You...
I have tried the Smoked Bear Loaf and that gets a 2 thumb up also. I love Anise and the fact that it has Anise seed and Fennel really makes these recipes stand out. Thanks Bearcarver.
I am not worried about the pretty, just trying to figure a way out of not having to roll 10 pounds of these individually, (I am lazy). I am just wondering if the smoke will penetrate the casings good, therefore the experiment. I love the flavor of these and have to say it is one of the best...
I made these and the loaves a couple years ago and I loved them.............everybody loved them. I wonder how they would work in a small hot rod casing? I am going to make them again and think I will try it both ways.
If the kettle works out for you and you like it, the SlowNSear is a very good addition to a Weber, I love mine. I see they have a 2.0 now where you can remove the water tray and it gives you more room for lump or briquettes. I can get about 9 hours out my original SNS. Lots of people just use a...
I had a 30" Masterbuilt, used it for a year, then the board went out. They sent me a free one and I have been using it for about 7 years now. I kind of hoped it would poop out so I had an excuse to go to something else. It has been a champion for me. I bought a Weber Performance Deluxe a couple...
Interesting...........I wish they would outlaw them cheap plastic wheels, they have always been the weak link for me. I like the fact that you can bump up the temp so fast.
I prefer turnips to potatoes also.............when I was a kid you could not get me to eat them but now I love them. They go in everything if I can find them, stews, soups, roasts. Good looking stew.
Man, I got a good deal on 15 bags of FOGO lump last Summer...........thought I went overboard but am glad I did that now..........now I just have to find some good meat. Anybody want to trade toilet paper for rib eyes? Just kidding. :-) It has been a crazy 3 to 4 weeks for buying most anything...
Man, that looks like a first class meal. I have been hunting for some wing dust recipies on here but have not had much luck so far...........I love parmasean wings but some of that dust at $15.00 a bag has me looking for a homemade version. My mouth is watering looking at them wings, good job.
Has anybody ever used a KA mixer with a bread hook to mix their sausage mix, or would it not work good? I recently purchased a grinder for my KA and would like to try my luck at some sausage or slim jim style sticks. Thanks.

You are going to love your Weber, it can be used many ways for smoking or grilling. I do briskets, butts and ribs on mine when ever I can find them on sale and they always turn out great. I see you said you had a SlowNSear. Here is a pretty good video for setting it up for different cooks. Good...
I bought a Weber Deluxe a couple of years ago and have been really happy with everything I have smoked or grilled on it so far. Them look like some pretty tasty ribs.
It has been awhile since I was here, quite the new look. I got a 404 error when I went to my bookmark so I had to hunt the place down again. Can't wait to see what everyone is doing. The snow is mostly gone so it is about time to bring the smoker out again.
