Been on this site for around 5 years now as mainly a lurker. Over the last year we had a bunch of changes in our life so I was unable to get much smoking in at all. We bought a house last fall and after working on it for the last few months have it mostly up to par and am now working on the...
I have a bit of a pickle. Last summer I visited my in-laws and they had bought a smoker and out of the blue decided I was gonna smoke them a chicken. Now the issue was my wife's mother has some heart issues and diabetes. I was forced to avoid salts and any sugars which made me think a little and...
Congrats on that milestone! I still use mine for cold smoking cause there is nothing like it when you want to cold smoke. Friends I showed it a couple years back also bought one and use it for their salmon and probably everything else. Congratulations again on such a achievement.
I actually have posted some of my food on this site and been a member for a long time. I have been mainly lurking now for the last couple years but am looking to get a new smoker and figured better head back here for more advice. Little update on what has happened since I last posted. My wife...

Before baking.
After baking.
On a plate with whipped cream.
Really easy and was delicious. Will be making this again for Christmas.
Saw this recipe the two days before thanksgiving and have to say it was a very good dessert. The wife does not like pumpkin pie and had 2 pieces of this. I took pics and will post them up later so people can see what ours turned out like.
Thanks for the great recipe.

I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes (he is 66).
We decided to grab a bite at the food court.
I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him.
The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors -...
I have a few people I know that have eaten my smoked and still use liquid smoke. No idea how to detour them as only a couple reasons I can see to why they do it.
1. Smoking to them is way to much work even when it can be made so simple with the stuff out today. People are lazy these days or...
If I have issues I will just buy from these guys http://www.predatorpee.com/Merchant2...gory_Code=WOOD as they are prompt on shipping and I have never had any issues with there wood. I am sure others know of a few places as well and you could always do a search.
Another thing you could try is...
If you are talking about flavor then Apple is one of my favorite. I personally do not like chips as I can never get them to burn right and can never keep a even smoke but that is my own opinion. Chunks is where its at for me. Never heard of anything stubbs outside the sauces.
Let us know if...
