LOL. LOL. LOL!
I feel your pain my friend. My wife actually believes there is such a thing as multitasking.
Stuff like this happens to me all the time if I ask her to help me. THAT is why I make sure I make the time to do things myself.
John
Pop's knew what he was doing and always gave us good and safe advice.
I think you will be fine following any recipe using Pop's brine.
Not to mention honoring his memory.
John
Thanks @normanaj
My hopes exactly. . .If I don't screw things up!
There were several guys on here that said they tweaked their Auber to adjust it within 1˚ of accuracy.
That my friend is way above my pay grade. I'm lucky if I remember to plug it in.
John
Yep, this is the same one I bought for $175 and had to drive 40 miles to pick it up.
I think what confused everyone was when I finally also found the Auber and Smoke Generator I listed everything I found on facebook Marketplace and what I found them for:
Masterbuilt MS30 (New) $150...
At the time I was trying to purchase one on Craig's List but couldn't find one locally. That is why I joined Facebook to use their Marketplace and it paid off big time.
So, How have you been?
John
It just dawned on me that my wife did buy one for my son as a
Christmas present. Completely forgot about it because I am not using it.
Now I am going to have to upgrade two instead of just mine. Maybe I will practice on his first. . .LOL!
John
@tallbm
You are the greatest! Thanks so much for your expertise.
I ordered all of the connectors and shrink tubing so I should be good to go.
Once I get the controller bypassed I will try to replace the cheap connectors at the safety limit switch and element.with the hi-temp ones.
Since I...
Thanks,
I wasn't positive that they would be the correct size. . . I'm not most proficient when it comes to electrical items. That is why I am being such a pest and am sorry to keep bothering you. I really don't want to screw anything up and wind up having to start this whole process over...
No Jim,
My old MES I sold years ago to help pay for my Camp Chef Pellet Smoker since I have also sold due to space constraints.
This one is a new one that I am going to set up with the PID Controller and a Smoke Generator so I don't have to fool around with a Mailbox mod.
John
Yea Jim,
I also was looking on Amazon but it is hard to make a decision as far a quality is concerned.
Decision making regarding price is easy. . .LOL!
Maybe someone can help us out.
John
Thanks for the response Ryan.
I believe I have to do some re-wiring to bypass the stock controller in order to use the Auber.
Already seasoned the smoker and smoke generator.
