-20 degrees and smoking a butt

If I recall correctly the name speuboy came from his habit of puking up is dinner on the side of the road a couple of times when he was really young, probably around 7 years old. That was about 18 years ago. The name has just kind of stuck with him for his screen names.

-20 degrees and smoking a butt

Maybe sometime soon you will be allowed to set it up and shoot it! :) It is only a matter of time before she buys you a man purse to keep it in.

-20 degrees and smoking a butt

Only my brother has the charger for his drill battery on his kitchen counter! Since when do we let our wives determine whether or not we can buy meat to smoke? Stop embarrassing the family! Keep your whipped comments private!!!! I won't even tell these guys that within only two or three months...

    Curley's - Tha Haul!

My brother an I went to Keith's seminar last year when he did it for the first time and it was awesome. After leaving his seminar we were able to process all of our own deer last year and made a bunch of other sausage since then. We still haven't done the weiners yet, but might order the...

Sausage Stuffer & Meat Grinder ?

I have separate units. I have a pretty cheap Cabelas electric grinder that gets the job done, but will be replaced with something heavier duty when this one dies. For my stuffer I have the LEM 5# stuffer and it is awesome. I would love for it to be bigger to save time refilling the stuffer...

    Losing the juice

I am guessing I am not the only one who this has happened to. A couple of times when doing pulled pork I have had the foil tear on me when removing them from the smoker and lost most or all of my juices from the butt. I personally think the meat doesn't taste near as good without being able to...

    Not so pullable pulled pork

I always run mine up to 205 degrees in the foil and have never had a problem. I would let yours go just a bit longer. Especially if you are stopping at the lower end of the range you mentioned.

    Vertical Gas/Propane Smoker

Call Landmann. I recently bought a GOSM big block and a weld was broken on one of the rack holders when I opened it. I called them on Monday and by Wednesday that week I have not just one replacement but a pair on my doorstep. They will take care of you no problem.

    Smoked Buffalo Wings with pics

As far as the sentry valve goes I am a quitter. I took it off and put my smoker back together with all of the original parts. I will mess with it later this summer when I have more time to mess with it. I wanted to smoke and didn't want to screw with it anymore. I actually just reheated...

    Smoked Buffalo Wings with pics

I smoked them around 240 for an hour and then bumped it up to about 260 when I glazed them to attempt to crisp them up, but I don't think they were in long enough to crisp up.

    Smoked Buffalo Wings with pics

I decided to try doing buffalo wings on the smoker today. I cut up 18 full wings into sections and seasoned them up. I smoked them for an hour with a mixture of birch, maple, hickory, apple and cherry. Sometimes I like to make mutt smoke as I call it. A little mixture of everything. :) I pulled...

    Sentry Valve Help Needed

One of the posts says that he used a 10psi burner and regulator, which is what I used. I didn't try cleaning out the valve with a needle. I will probably try it out on my turkey/fish fryer before disassembling my whole smoker again. If I can get it working on there I will then transfer the...

Do you freeze trimmings for adding to sausage grinds?

Alright, I'll look stupid. Why can't the meat have been previously frozen?

    Sentry Valve Help Needed

I actually took it all apart yesterday after nobody on here responded over the weekend with suggestions. I have the regulator, valve, gas line and burner all still put together so that if I figure out what is wrong with the setup, I will be able to put it right back in with very little work...
