I think my char griller came with a little cup to go under that hole. I lost that, but a coffee can on the rack below works pretty good.

But who cares, they are full of S++t anyway. I am not gonna quit any of it.
For deer roast I just use a simple brine over night. (pickling salt and water) Then I rub a little garlic, Lowery's, and pepper in. Smoke until it hits 150 internal temp. It comes out very moist and has wonderful flavor.

I "thought" I knew how to run a smoker pretty well until I started reading all of your posts.
This site has so much info that it is endless.
I am sure I will have a lot of questions as I go along and I will be able to "really" make some great BBQ.
