I'm using a Brinkmann Cimarron Deluxe Heavy-Gauge...
It's hard to tell, but I think you have that pan at the firebox end - is that correct? I've got a Brinkmann heavy duty and can keep it around 225 - but I'm sure the firebox end is much higher. Brinkmann drills for the temperature guage closer to the smokstack end.

I just got my Brinkmann smoker on 7/3 and so far smoked a few pounds of ribs and a brisket. All came out fine - need some practice in controlling heat in the smoker.
I drove the neighbors crazy with all that wonderful aroma of hickory smoke. They'll get used to it!
