My first Smoke ... Beef Ribs

And we're almost done ... I had to deviate slightly from your 4-1/2 hour rule and I let them sit for a little bit to waste some time and now they are going to be re-heated for the last 45min ... ABT's ... minus cream cheese ... just not in yet I had to get creative with holding them up ...

My first Smoke ... Beef Ribs

Very nice ... Ok we'll have to work with this a little ... hey ... pizza hut is down the street if worse comes to worse. I'm starting a list of mods already ... Venting in the Dome ... i was just going to see how this would work without the venting and just using the "Lose fitting Lid" ...

My first Smoke ... Beef Ribs

4-1/2? ... damn ... somewhere I read that it-s 6 - 7 hours I planned this so it would be winding down when my wife got home ... I might need to try a 2-wait-1.5-wait-.75 method

My first Smoke ... Beef Ribs

I seasoned the guy yesterday ... ran it in the HOT zone for about an hour after I stopped noticing any smoke coming out ... ran out and refilled my propane tank this morning and running with this ... I mean hey ... it's only beef ribs they were $1 a pound ... this is a pretty cheap first try...

My first Smoke ... Beef Ribs

So my wife bought me that smoker for Fathers Day, then she also got me some Beef Ribs and some wood chips and all that fun stuff ... she did her homework (Thank you for all your suggestions regarding which one to get, but I decided to keep the one my wife got me and see what I can do with it.)...

    Which smoker would you recommend

Another Addendum ... or clarification if you will. By lack of control I mean that the All-in-One has no air control when you use Charcoal. You have a charcoal pan at the bottom with slits that both let ash drop and provide air to the coals ... however there is no way to control air flow. What...

    Which smoker would you recommend

Ok an Addendum then ... Say you had $100 ... and you can't build one because that has to go on the bottom of the list of the other projects that are on your honey do list. Besides my overall goal is to find something to learn on, once I get good find out what I like and dislike and then build...

First Smoke - Happy Father's Day (pics)

I'm glad I am not the only one who noticed the beer ... I just can't decide if he is obsessive compulsive and has to set his can down so the logo is facing him every time or if he carefully positioned his beer of choice before each photo. Other than the beer, which I also put into the "P"water...

    Which smoker would you recommend

Say you had $100 to spend on your first smoker. What would you buy? My wife bought me the Brinkmann All-in-One and I am really turned off by the complete lack of control that I would have if I opted to use the charcoal. So after talking to the wife and making sure she knew she "Did Good" and...

New Smoker (I can quit when I want)

Hey all ... Wife got me a smoker for Fathers Day this year (I guess whining about something enough does in fact work into adulthood (using "adult" very loosely here)). I am new to the outdoor smoking ... sure I've smoked our kitchen enough times by forgetting about something or making the oil...
