I had my first pig butchered and I had a couple of hams cured I believe they are just salt cured. What I want to know is would it be ok to still smoke them? Or would it be too salty?
I am going to smoke some chicken breast and some thighs. I havnt smoked chicken much I wasnt going to brine just injection. I do not cook birds or its parts a lot. The internal cooking cooking temp is 170 right. It i cook at 250 about how long will it take to smoke.
I have never smoked ABT's and stuffed jalapeno;s buy my question is you guys smoke these. Sometimes when I cook out I make Stuffed jalapenos and grill them, Uf you smoke them do you use a stand?
I didnt come here first but he goes. My name is Guy Murray, I live in the panhandle of Texas. I work for USDA FSIS MPI I started smoking on a electric smoker moved to a charcoal smoker currently using a Smoke Hollow propane smoker. Plan on putting a fire box on my grill when i get around to it.

I am curious if any one knows where I can buy new stainless steel plates I guess thats what I will call them, currently I use expanded metal on my grill. the size of them are not normal. My farther in law made the grill the size needs to be 26" x 15 1/2" I think I will upload a pic. If anyone...
I havnt cooked fatties yet but I do grill stuffed burgers with cream cheese jalapenos bacon, those guy come out pretty good. I think this weekend i am going to do a breakfast fattie
My question is if I smoke a fryer do I stand it up like when doing a drunken chicken or do I lay on the back and then rotate it and lay it the breast. thanks for your help

I was told that just about all fruit woods were good for smoking. I want to ask if anyone knows if grape wood and the vines would be good to smoke with?
I am having a problem with a high yellow flame on my smoker, I put a frash tank on. Has anyone used this type of smoker?Model is 34168g. I have only used this one 4 times . Is there a way to adjust burner? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks for time Guy
