Just wanted to thank Meowey for the great instructions. I smoked my first butt yesterday and without the instructions in this post I am sure it would not have been as good as it was.
I am still tired from my smoke yesterday. The butt I did took just over 12 hours to get done but it was worth the wait.
Can't wait to see some pics of the finished product.
Just foiled the butt. Sorry I forgot to take pictures before hand but there was a nice layer of bark on it.
I will make sure to take pictures when I get ready to pull.
I think you might be right. I took my instant read out to the smoker and checked another portion of the butt and it read 141 whole the digital read 161.
