Guys I'm in the market for a good quality smoker that will last us over the long haul. What's a great quality unit that doesn't need any mods and is ready to go right out of the box. My focus is ribs and butts.

An electric smoker to cook/smoke sausages is in my near future most definitely and I'm considering Masterbuilt as an entry level unit even though the internet is packed with issues and complaints about them.
Having said that, they still seem to have a loyal following.

After reading much about the Chargriller Smokin' Pro I went out and bought one. I wanted a little more cooking area than my present little offset offers which was the main reason for my purchase.

Just wondering if you guys are using this cut. Makes very good Q and in my humble opinion rates somewhat higher then the brisket.
Brisket packers are hard to come by in my area but the bootom flats are easily foundin 10-13 pound cuts.

One of the smokers we have is a little Charbroil American Gourmet.For a cheapie sheet metal job it has done a great job and is a miser on charcoal use. Very easy to maintain temps etc.
I would like to upgrade to a bigger unit and hear of what you guys are cooking on.
