    BBQ sauce thickened?

I just let mine simmer longer than the recipe states. The more liquid you render off the thicker it will be. Just have to be careful you don't scorch it.

    Arthur Bryant's Original BBQ Sauce

Ok, I'll reply even though I really don't have much to add. I am from KC but moved away several years ago. I have eaten many times at the original Arthur Bryants and at the one by the racetrack. Arthur Bryants sauce is as has been said, "an acquired taste." It is very heavy on the vinegar...

    Plant Peppers in Pots?

Not sure if you could bring them in and get anything. It would depend on the humidity in the house and direct sunlight for 6 hours. But other than that, you can definitely grow in pots, buckets or any other container. Be sure they have drain holes. We use 25 gallon feed buckets that we...

    How To Buy A Ham

Pretty darn good Ron. First time I heard Cooks called a mild city ham. Its my wifes' favorite. Me, I just like any chunk of meat over 18 pounds I can put in the smoker myself. As long as it comes out smoked, juicy and tender I am happy.

    Another summer project

I would keep one full but they both have a couple of decent slices in the side. I'll do something with them. I have never welded on stainless, this will be new.

    New High School Exit Exam

I got 3, 4, 5 and 10 right. I used to make my own brushes, I used to be an EMT, I have seen a lot of the so-called "black boxes" from commercial airplanes and I have seen lots of documentaries about the Russian Revolution. So I passed and didn't lie, I was just lucky enough to know those...

    Another summer project

OK, got these two kegs a few weeks ago for free. So, should I cut them off and weld together to make a skinny UDS? Or cut them off, weld together and make a horizontal offset? Or 2 tailgating UDS's or offsets? Other problem is, never done anything with stainless before. This will be a...

    A real good day

Would you believe at 89 cents a pound they are all sold out now? Called both of my boys at work. My youngest got the last 2 butts they had. They told my son nobody came in and bought any until today when some excited guy came in and bought $60 worth. My son didn't say a word. He did swing...

    What Happened to My Ribs?

Tony, did you have water or sand in the drip pan? Did ya spray them while they were smoking? Also could have been the ribs were too lean. You need a good mix of fat in there to keep them internally moist and balanced. Best thing I could suggest is go back at it again and lower the temp to...

Why do you post on this forum?

Why do I post in this forum? Gee, you really wanted to put us on the spot with that question. I do it for great tips and ideas. To get help and advice and to give tips and advice. Because some of the best minds in this little hobby stop in from time to time. Because I don't have all the...

    A real good day

Ladies and gentlemen, its a great day around here. Over the weekend I finally got my company web page done and published to the internet. This morning, a neighbor showed up and paid for the 150 bales of hay I sold him last fall. Then I went to get some parts to work on my tractor and after...

    moink ball recipies

We just take good beef that we raise ourselves, grind it up to about 85% lean, roll them up, poke a hole and put some cheese in there. Pinch it closed and wrap in bacon and poke some tooth pics into them. At this point they weigh a good 1/4 pound. Then we drop them in a bowl of 50/50...

    2 kegs

Update on this, the kegs I got are stainless. Also, they were free just sitting in my neighbors junk pile. Gonna make mini-UDS's out of them and give them to my boys.

    2 kegs

Wow, I thought the aluminum would be thicker than that. Well at least all you have to do is wash them with some soap and water and don't have to bother with burning them out.
