    HELLOO, Rudy (ribs and sauce)

They're great, but my family loves the Sissy Sause more than the regular. It's okay, it just means more of the regular Rudy's Sause for me when my supply gets here, next week.

Jeff's Naked Rib Rub and Special Sauce Recipes

The best thing to do is to try the recipe as it is written and modify it according to your own taste. Make it hotter, sweeter, less sweet or whatever suits you. I add my recommendation to the many who have given theirs. It is great and the paltry amount helps Jeff. Shawn

    Turkey and timing question

I'd reheat it and foil it then put it in the cooler with 2 foiled butts and a foiled brisket. It would still be too hot to handle at lunch time. They'd also appreciate the non-traditional heat retention devices you sent.

    Favorite Military/War Movies?

I'll have to echo all of those who said Apocalypse Now and Band of Brothers. I liked BOB so much I bought the Blu-Ray and gave my dad the DVD. I'd also like to add an unlikely pair that both deal with revolutions: The Wild Geese and The Gods Must Be Crazy.

Some Fall colors for Southern/CA/AZ/warmer smokers

We have colors like those here in the Phoenix metro area. We just have to go to an art supply store to find them. As far as I know, foliage only comes in two colors, green and dead.

    Thoughts on Browning smoker

As far as comparing the different kinds goes, I started with an ECB, got an Oklahoma Joe's SFB, got an Oklahoma Joe's vertical roaster (with a propane burner), got a MES, then got 3 GOSM 20", 20" and 24". The electric is okay. The MES worked okay, but just didn't have enough room for me so I...

    Thoughts on Browning smoker

If they have the 24" smoker and you can afford it, grab it. You will like having the extra capacity. No more cutting racks of ribs in half or having to angle big briskets to get them to fit. I would also check Craigslist. I got my 20" GOSM for $35 with a full tank of propane and my 24" GOSM for...

Pulled pork in the office today, reheat question?

If your work is anything like mine, you'll have people coming round all morning who never come around telling you they can smell it through the whole building. They always seem to know exactly where it's coming from and their eyes get real big when they walk in to see two crock pots and a...

My best chicken ever with Q-view

Looks great. I remember visiting the Hutterite colony near Winnipeg when I was a kid. They served the best chicken soup I've ever had. Really nice people. My parents still visit them when they go up to Canada.

    Howdy from Arizona

Greetings from Queen Creek. I'm sure that if the neighbors are crazy, it is with envy. Nothing like the smell of hickory and pecan on a warm (okay, hot as he**) Arizona evening or afternoon. Fire It Up, Gilbert is South and East from Phoenix. It's directly South of Mesa.
