    Thanks for the advice. Sounds like a great way to try it. Unfortunately the weather has turned awful here in Illinois in the last day. Not too many good smoking days left I am afraid.

    Has anyone ever tried to smoke lobster tails? I would be interested if someone has done it and had it come out good. I thought maybe smoking lobster would be a good way to make it tender since it can be rubbery if cooked improperly.

    Sausage Stuffed Pork Loin

    Do you pan fry the sausage, onion, ect.. to completly done before rolling into the loin? How does that affect the thermometer reading while smoking since the center is warm going into the smoker? Or do you completely cool the sausage before rolling into loin and placing into smoker? I can't see...

    temp control in CG Smoker

    I have been smoking with a CG for about six months now and have never used charcoal. I just use hickory or mesquite chunks. I have to keep a close eye on it but don't mind if I have a six pack of Sierra Nevada and some Allman Brothers playing. Am I wrong to smoke this way?
