Need temp help for pork tenderloin

No, you're link was correct. I'm doing tenderloins, and I guess I'm confused on the difference. I'll still shoot for a meat temp of at least 160.

Wow, Walking Dude, that link was helpful....exactly what I was looking for. Plus, now I know how to search the forums like that. Thanks!

Need temp help for pork tenderloin

Thanks! I figured 225 was right, since that's where I generally keep ribs. I saw something in another thread about meat temp of 145, but thought that seemed a little low. I'll shoot for 165-70.

Need temp help for pork tenderloin

Yes I did both. Searching the forum as well for any threads on the subject, but coming up empty. Everything I've found through google has more to do with grilling than smoking. All that said, do you have any help to offer?

    Arkansas vs. Alabama

Hang in there Richtee....we just fired our coach last year. Go out and spend 4 million per year, and things will turn around REAL quick. Not saying Bama wins for sure today, but we're certainly on our way back in a hurry. This thought alone makes this southern boy's BBQ taste better! Good...

Quick questions re: first butt smoke

Thanks for the advice, all. First butt turned out very nice. Only thing was it was a tad bit dry after the pull. Is there any finishing sauce that I should consider after pulling? Thanks again!

Quick questions re: first butt smoke

7.5* butt in right now. Should I pull at 170 and wrap til 200, or not? Should I wrap and place in cooler after reaching 200, or not? If so, how long? Also, this may be a dumb one, but I'm a rookie: Any tips on the actual pulling process? Techniques?

Hey guys, I am from Birmingham, and I am utterly addicted to smoke. I have a Smoky Mountain upright propane that I have been using for about 2 years. I haven't ventured outside of ribs or chicken to this point....which led me to this awesome site. I look forward to raising my smoke game to...
