Sat. I bought a Treager pellet burner and brought it home ,seasoned it, and filled her up today. First smoke was 2 racks of baby backs, 5 split chix and a dozen pork chops. The easiest smoke I ever had and tasted great. I am truely sold on these pellet burners. Sorry didnt get any Q pics
I am running a small temp controller with a type J t/c. I have my pid loop tuned very aggresivly to maintain about a 5-7 deg. spread on temps. Still working on tuning the I part of the loop.
It's been a very busy weekend with the smokers. Saterday started off with 10# of jerky going in my electric smoker and 10 whole chix legs and 2 breasts going in my baby brink. Today I have 4 racks of baby backs going in the electric with apple smoke. Should be a great week of packed lunches...
I am in the middle of the largest smoke to date for me. I have 12# pork loin and 3 full racks of babybacks going in one smoker and 8# of chicken parts going in new brinkman charcoal smoker. Sure does keep me busy makin sauses and such. Going to be good eats all week.
