    Open mine up today and one grill grates is cracked half way across. There are 4 joints and 2 are cracked. These are the cast iron cooking grates. I am going to email the company and see if they will send me a new one.

    When we are at the river there is no electrical hook up so this would be out of the question. Nothing wrong with being a "watt burner" but it is not always feesable for my use. Still have not seen the refrig but it was made in 1951. They said it worked until about 5 years ago.

    Best beer I've ever had

    Almost the same marinade I use for chicken and ribs. 1 can beer 1 cup spicy V8 1 cup bbq sauce salt and pepper to taste. Mix well in ziplock bag. Add meat and let set at least 4 hours. Grill or smoke as usual. I also add tabasco sauce if I want a little more kick.

    I have a Brinkman Vertical Smoker that is charcoal and am thinking about replacing the charcoal bowl with the burner from a turkey fryer. It should be pretty easy but I have not trying fitting it in there yet. Anyone every do something like this?
