I've made pizza using BBQ Chuck Roast with some BBQ sauce made by a friend.  Very good.  I wanted to eat the whole thing right then and there.  :)

    Stufz burger inspiration

Hi all, I just purchased a Stufz burger stuffer this morning and can't wait to try it.  I live in the land of the Juicy Lucy.  The classic is a burger stuffed with usually cheddar or american cheese.  There is a local pub that serves several different stuffed burgers and I wanted to pass on the...

    Smoke Hollow?

I've had a Smoke Hollow #5 for a couple of years now. It works great. I haven't done any mods to it. Sometimes it takes a little while to get the temp just right, but it holds it pretty well.

Advice on a Smoke Hollow #5

I have a Smoke Hollow #5. It can be difficult to keep the temp low on a hot day. If you keep it between "Off" and "High" rather than setting your smoker on "Low", you get much better low end control of the temp. I've also used an electric hot plate in it to cold smoke bacon. That worked...

    Smoke Hollow

I just assembled a Smoke Hollow Electric at work today. ( I work for Gander Mountain) It looks well built, like the other Smoke Hollows. We've sold quite a few of them over the past year, but I haven't gotten any feedback either way about them. My initial opinion was that the box for the...

First Smoke Hollow use! Pics included!

That looks awesome. I smoked some ribs, fatties, and Dutch's Wicked Baked Beans last Saturday. My smoke hollow did pretty well in that cold too. Would you mind putting the brine recipe on here? Those birds look good. I think I should try them myself.

    "You've lost that smoookey flaaavor"

I have seen several BBQ guys trim the fat on a brisket down to about a quarter of an inch thick and then smoke it fat side up. I recall one of them saying they trim the fat to that point so there is enough left to keep it moist while still being thin enough to allow smoke to penetrate the meat...

    First Fatties

I made my first fatties last night. They are unbelievable. That smoke really makes the sausage that much better. I made 1 regular Jimmy Dean fatty, 1 regular Bob Evans fatty and 1 sage Bob Evans fatty. I noticed, after they were done, the Jimmy Dean crumbled pretty easily. The Bob Evans...
