    Cracklins????????????????

I wish you lived a little closer to me, I just finished cooking 60 pounds of cracklins. Maybe I can ship some to you, I think they will keep for about a week. The stores I sell them to sell them out very quickly but I think a weeks travel would be ok. Send me your address and I will ship you...

My first main question, can I drop a 1000w hotplate in my ECB?

I have a WSM and a ECB. They both work very very well, but I do burn a whole lot less charcoal in the WSM. When we go camping I bring the ECB because I am not worried about dinging it up. Sometimes my wife wants a pork butt smoked when camping, also she loves Jambalaya and people get a kick...

    Frog legs?

Ok guys, some things are better left UnSmoked. Sorry to ruffle the feathers but Frog legs are to be nicely breaded with cornmeal and fried, uh with beer on hand.

    Smoked CrawFish!!

I have not posted in awhile so here is my latest take on life. The wife wanted boiled crawfish, thats right craWfish, not craYfish for the 4th. Well everyone else wanted my smoked ribs. I smoked the ribs right next to the boiled crawfish. Uh, both were great but do I get credit since the...

ECB Surprised the heck out of me!!!!

Glad to see everyone is happy with the ECB. I really thought I was going to be let down with it's performance but I was really amazed. Taking it out this weekend along with my crawfish pot. Big camping trip planned for the campground Percy Quinn. Hate to say it though, looking forward to the...

The cheapest one you can find, the Smoke & Grill. I think the cost was around 28 bucks at Wally World.

ECB Surprised the heck out of me!!!!

First off, I own a WSM that I absolutely love. Well the wife and I just purchased a new camper to go frolicking with the alligators on the weekends. We love to smoke meat on the weekends when we go but I just didn't want to take the chance of hauling my WSM all over the states and risk dinging...

    Looking for Cherry Wood!!

Thank you all for the help. Many good links to follow. For those of you coming to the Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales that want to eat Jambalaya, make sure you get the Pork and Sausage Jambalaya. The chicken Jambalaya is what we use for the contest. I really don't like that one much because...

Looking for a Small inexpensive Smoker

Thank you all for the info. I'm thinking the ECB may be the way to go. I love my WSM but just don't want to take the chance of it getting banged up. Thanks once again. Goose

Looking for a Small inexpensive Smoker

I have a WSM. Which is fantastic. The only problem I have with the WSM is when I go camping I really don't like hauling the WSM. Guess I just love it too much and would hate to bend or mess it up while camping. I am looking for a much smaller smoker. One that is also cheap. That way if I...

    I finally got a WSM!!!

I modded my WSM with a variation of the Peidmont Pan. I have seen posted that some people purchase the clay base of a flower pot and drop that on top of the WSM waterpan. I found one at my local hardware store. Not sure of the size but it fits perfectly on the lip of my water pan. I have...

    Time for a new smoker

If you can hold off and save up enough money I would go with the WSM. I have a horizontal smoker with a firebox that works nicely but it can't even come close to the control and ease of use as the WSM. Just my 2 cents. Happy smoking bro. Goose

Smoking some butt but need help!!

Well the Butt is finished, shredded and sauced up. All I can say is that the WSM is one helluva smoker. Started at 1900 last night. Babysitted the smoker, though I didn't have to, till 0300. The butt was at 200 at 0600 this morning. I was thinking to myself, did I listend to everyone well...
